Join us for 7 days and 6 nights as we dive deep into the heart of El Salvador! From colonial towns, stunning volcanic landscapes, black sand beaches, and delicious authentic cuisine— El Salvador has plenty to offer.
On this journey we will visit both a cacao and coffee farm, learn to make pupusas from a local cook, explore the beautiful and charming colonial towns along Ruta de las Flores, participate in a sea turtle conservation project, and we will top it off with epic sunsets on the beaches of El Tunco. Day 1: Welcome to El Salvador! After your arrival we will be there to greet you and transfer you to your accommodation for the evening. Take today to relax, unwind, and prepare for the upcoming journey. Tonight we will have our first group dinner!
Day 2: Depart early morning after breakfast to Jiquilisco Bay (2 hour drive) where we will meet with local biologists and learn about their sea turtle conservation program. After lunch, we will visit a cacao farm to learn about how it is cultivated and enjoy a tasting session. Enjoy a group dinner on our drive back to San Salvador for one more evening.
Day 3: Today after breakfast, we depart to Suchitoto, a charming colonial town near Lake Suchitlán. Have a free day exploring the town at your leisure. We meet again for dinner and will check in to our accommodation for the evening. (NOTE: Lunch not included today. Please pick a local restaurant on your own accord while exploring the lakeside town.)
Day 4: After breakfast we depart for Cerro Verde National Park (Los Volcanes National Park). We will enjoy a guided hike through the park’s trails offering views of the Santa Ana, Izalco, and Cerro Verde volcanoes. This park is renowned for its scenic landscapes and rich biodiversity. After we enjoy lunch, we will drive another hour to Ataco. Upon hotel check in, you can relax or explore the colonial town before we meet again for dinner.
Day 5: Concepcion de Ataco is celebrated for its colorful murals and artisan crafts. After breakfast, we will start our day with a coffee farm tour where we will learn about cultivation, processing, and a tasting session. After a hearty lunch, we begin our drive on the Ruta de las Flores, a scenic route known for it’s picturesque towns and vibrant flowers. We will be making several stops and finally arrive to El Tunco by dinner time.
Day 6: El Tunco is a popular coastal town known for its black sand beaches, surf culture, and nightlife. After breakfast at our hotel, spend the day at your leisure! We will regroup again around 3pm for an authentic pupusa making class! We will spend our final evening in El Salvador enjoying the lively atmosphere of El Tunco.
Day 7: Our journey comes to an end as we enjoy our final breakfast and make the 40 minute drive back to San Salvador for our departing flights.

The full experience is $2,525 USD per participant.
Cost includes all lodging, meals, transportation, and activities.
COST DOES NOT INCLUDE: Flights to and from EL SALVADOR, alcoholic beverages, travel insurance, and extra spending money for snacks/meals not in itinerary or for souvenirs.

Secure your space with a $500 deposit and request a payment plan for the remaining balance. All balances must be paid in full 90 days BEFORE tour start date. Credit cards are accepted for an additional 5% processing fee. All payments made are non-refundable.
