Northern Lights
Fairbanks, Alaska
Join us for 5 days and 4 nights in Fairbanks for the ultimate Alaskan adventure and experience the magic of the Last Frontier.
Go dog sledding through snowy trails in a winter wonderland, relax and rejuvenate at the natural hot springs, and as night falls— chase the breathtaking Northern Lights.
One of the world's best places to see the northern lights.
No trip to Fairbanks is complete without a visit to the nearby town of North Pole, where the spirit of Christmas lingers all year. Candy cane–striped streetlights line the roads, and cheerful shops brim with handmade ornaments and Alaskan keepsakes.
Meet real reindeer, mail a postcard stamped from the North Pole, and experience a slice of small-town magic that feels timeless.
Itinerary
Welcome to the heart of Alaska! Settle into our cozy wilderness lodge, surrounded by snow-dusted trees and the stillness of the northern frontier. Take the afternoon to unwind and get acquainted with your surroundings. In the evening, we’ll gather for a warm welcome dinner before setting out on our first Northern Lights chase. (Please note: any meals before dinner today are not included)
Day 1
Start the day with breakfast, then spend the morning dog sledding through snowy backcountry, riding with an expert musher behind a team of huskies. After lunch, explore Fairbanks and visit the Morris Thompson Cultural Center to learn about Alaska's Indigenous heritage. Rest for a bit this afternoon before we take off again for our nightly Northern Lights chase.
DAY 2
After breakfast, head to Chena Hot Springs and soak in steaming mineral pools in the snowy wilderness. Later, visit the Aurora Ice Museum to see intricate ice sculptures lit in blue light and try one of the famous apple martini’s in an ice glass. At night, we have another Aurora chase.
DAY 3
Day 4After breakfast we explore the Museum of the North at the University of Fairbanks, home to Alaska Native art, cultural heritage, and natural history from across the state. After, we head to the town of North Pole, where the holiday spirit lasts year-round. Tonight, we set out one last time into the quiet backcountry for a final Aurora viewing.
After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to Alaska’s winter magic. Transfer to the airport for your journey home, carrying with you memories of star-filled skies, icy adventures, and the spellbinding glow of the Northern Lights.
